Ocean County is home to some of New Jersey’s best beaches and outdoor spaces. Island Beach State Park offers pristine beaches, dunes, and trails for hiking, fishing, and birdwatching along the Atlantic coast. The Cattus Island County Park in Toms River features walking trails through salt marshes and forests, as well as an environmental center with exhibits on local wildlife. Barnegat Lighthouse State Park in Barnegat Light offers stunning views from the historic lighthouse, along with trails and picnic areas.
